Beautiful Liturgical Music Flows from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Paterson, NJ

I have to say that I was very impressed with the liturgical music at yesterday’s Feast Day Mass of St. Michael the Archangel at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Paterson.

Inside St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church

The voices of the choir in the choir loft were angelic. The music emanating from the pipes of the organ was ethereal. Hearing both the “Gloria” and “Pater Noster (Our Father)” sung in Latin was truly music to my ears. And the recessional song, “Dell’Aurora Tu Sorgi Piu Bella”, was close to bringing a tear to my eye.

I pray that this parish, one of Paterson’s Italian-American Roman Catholic gems, remains open and continues to serve as a beacon of hope in a city that could use a lot of hope.
