This time of year many people make resolutions for a new year. Resolutions to lose weight, resolutions to quit smoking, resolutions to eat healthy. No doubt, these are all great and worthy resolutions. But it’s my resolution in this new year of 2016 to continue the journey I started slowly at the end of 2012.

On Saturday evening before the 5:30 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Park Ridge, NJ, Bishop John Flesey (Auxiliary Bishop in the Archdiocese of Newark) blessed and opened the church’s Holy Door.
I saw this pink December rose in bloom yesterday morning down the block from the Church of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother in Wood-Ridge.
Today, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is my Consecration Day.
We are on the eve of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, which begins next Tuesday, December 8th on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is my pray that many who have been away from the Catholic Church will find their way back into communion.
I attended a great session last evening at St. Paul Inside the Walls in Madison that is part of an ongoing program entitled “Men After His Heart” lead by Father Paul Manning. The program focuses on Masculine Spirituality.
