The end of the Colloqy of today’s reflection in “Divine Intimacy” really hit me. Traditionally, today, January 6th, we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany. It is when our Blessed Lord revealed himself to the Magi. Epiphany means revelation or a revealing.
Everyday, we need to open our hearts and souls to Christ so that He can reveal himself to us. Christ is The Way, The Truth, & The Life.
In John 10:10, Jesus says, “I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture. A thief comes only to steal and slaughter and destroy; I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
There are many things in our lives that try to steal us from our Lord and our Faith. But we must stand our ground and allow ourselves to ever be open to God’s revelation. And so to, we must also be Christ bearers to those around us. We must bring the Light of Christ to those living in darkness. And by our example, we have the opportunity to reveal Christ to them. Happy Feast of the Epiphany!
