On Saturday March 4, 2017, the Archdiocese of Newark’s Men’s Commission held their annual men’s conference at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.
The conference’s speakers included the Archbishop of Boston, His Eminence Seán Patrick O’Malley, OFM Cap., Jeff Feagles (former punter for the New York Football Giants), Dr. Kevin Burke (co-founder of Rachel’s Vineyard), and Catholic Apologist Dr. Scott Sullivan. There was also opportunities for Confession and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
One of the highlights of the day for me was the Eucharistic Procession led by Father Marius Koch, CFR, of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. The culmination of the conference was the Source and Summit of our Catholic Faith; the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated by His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark.
I eagerly look forward to this yearly Archdiocesan conference that allows other men from around the Archdiocese and beyond to come together and grow as Brothers in Christ.
